Here's my full nerd bio....
Justin Wenck, Ph.D., is an electrical engineer specializing in analog and mixed-signal circuit designs for highly advanced microprocessor technologies and solid state drive engineering.
Dr. Wenck holds Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California-Davis and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Justin also became Yoga Teacher in 2014, and added the 500 Hour certification in 2020.
Dr. Wenck joined one of the world's most renown semiconductor manufactures in 2010 as part of their elite Rotation Engineer Program, a full-time, 18-month technical development program for top college graduates with technical degrees and strong leadership skills. His rotations ranged from DDR I/O circuits design and validation in California to excelling in digital design at the labs in Germany.
Dr. Wenck has also been involved in datacenter SSD's where he's owned their validation, specification as a technical marketing engineer, and quality as a product engineering lead.
Prior to corporate work, Dr. Wenck made valuable contributions as a Research Assistant (2005 to 2010) and Teaching Assistant (2006 to 2007) at the University of California-Davis; and as a Test Development Engineer (2002) for Teradyne, Inc. He has presented at numerous conferences and authored highly insightful works and presentations, including his doctoral dissertation, Self-Timed Circuits, Memories, and Power Electronics for High-Ripple Energy Harvesting Power Supplies (2010) and his co-authored IEEE journal article “Energy Harvesting and Limits of Low-Power Mixed-Signal Circuit Design” (2009).
Passionate and enthusiastic in his field, Dr. Wenck has networked extensively and established strong partnerships with influential industry experts as well as top academic institutions, the latter providing access to the best and brightest in engineering talent. Through a collaboration he spearheaded with the University of California-Davis, he has interfaced extensively with engineering students and performed official recruiting duties at university career fairs.
